One way to help students develop a deeper understanding of course material is to have them apply concepts to their own lived experience. - Students should be able to identify how agents of socialization work to teach individuals culture. Students should also identify how new technology makes it difficult for agents of socialization to teach appropriate cultural values and norms.
Goal Assessment(s):
- Through small group and class discussion, the instructor will assess whether or not students have an appropriate understanding of agents of socialization and how new technology affects agents of socialization.
