- This activity and discussion are to help students compare the effects of relationship structure (being in a monogamous or polygamous relationship) on how functions of the family are experienced at the individual and relationship level.
Goal Assessment(s):
- Students will apply four functions of the family to the experience of the same individual within a monogamous relationship (in one case) and a polygamous relationship (in another case).
- Students will evaluate the impact of the relationship structure (monogamous or polygamous) on the experience of the functions of families for those participants in the relationships.
