SOC 4120: Death and Dying

Abstract

This course examines the social and cultural dimensions of death and dying in American society with emphasis on the meaning of death, the death industry, the social context of death and dying, and bereavement. We will also be taking an in-depth look at our own thoughts and feelings on death and dying.
