Learning Goals and Assessments
Learning Goal(s):
- Students will be able to construct a nominal definition, a fully formed operational definition, and argue correctly for validity and reliability of their operational definition.
- Students will be able to constructively critique another student’s assignment based upon their knowledge of conceptualization, operationalization, validity, and reliability.
Goal Assessment(s):
- The rubrics provide specific guidance on how to meet the learning goals and detail the specific criteria upon which the two parts of the assignment would be assessed.
- As showing personal aptitude in conceptualization and operationalization and aptitude in assessing others’ appropriate use of these ideas are equally necessary skills, each part of the assignment is equally weighted as 50% of the total assignment grade.
