Learning Goals and Assessments

Learning Goal(s):

  1. Goal 1: Students will be able to identify the values hidden in media images, specifically related to feminism.
  2. Goal 2: Students will be able to critically evaluate how current beliefs about feminism are rooted in historically anti-feminist ideologies.

Goal Assessment(s):

  1. Assessment 1: Through group discussion, students will identify symbols within each image and connect these symbols to particular beliefs about the feminist movement.
  2. Assessment 2: Through an in-class activity, students will gather current images associated with feminism or anti-feminism and will discuss how these relate to historical anti-feminist beliefs.
