Abstract

The purpose of this course is (1) to give an overview of the field of medical sociology and its subareas, (2) to address important current issues in the field, (3) to introduce major research studies, (4) to develop an analytical approach to the literature, and (5) to direct students in writing empirical research papers or critical review papers.
