Higher Education and Social Inequality

Abstract

Going to college is usually seen as a ticket to upward mobility poor and working class students and for people of color. While this is true for some individuals, higher education also reproduces inequality for class, race and gender groups. We will examine this apparent contradiction throughout the course.
