Suddenly, a great deal of publicity was focused on "the AIDS problem" in Jamestown. This research is designed to investigate attitudes toward AIDS as a social problem in Jamestown, and the conditions particular to small towns that shape those attitudes. The basic research question is: How do different types of community opinion leaders define the social problem of AIDS, in terms of its causes, consequences and possible solutions? ER -
