This course approaches the study of sport from a sociological perspective. (2) The lectures, discussions, and writing assignments are all organized around key sport sociological topics. A general objective is to sensitize the student to the impact and importance of sport on our daily lives, to enhance student skills in communications, both verbal and written, and to increase critical thinking skills. (3) To acquire a basic understanding of the sociological aspects of sport. (4) To apply sociological principles and methods to the study of sport.
