Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and experience applying different theoretical approaches to the study of gender. We will also discuss how gender theory has influenced epistemological and methodological issues in science. This course will primarily include readings from the discipline of sociology, but work by philosophers and cultural studies scholars are also included. Students will produce an original paper on gender theory and its application at the end of the course. }, journal={TRAILS: Teaching Resources and Innovations Library for Sociology}, author={Cottingham, Marci}, year={2017}, month={May} }
