More specifically, we focus on social interaction and inequality between and within racial-ethnic groups. We also study social histories of many racial-ethnic groups and examine social-political processes that people use to define these groups and the boundaries between them. We do not, however, examine racial/ethnic minorities alone. We also study the dominant institutions in U.S. society to see the kinds of opportunities and the forms of oppression they offer members of different racial-ethnic groups.}, journal={TRAILS: Teaching Resources and Innovations Library for Sociology}, author={Jaret, Charles}, year={2010}, month={Apr.} }
