This is a mid-level elective course at a small liberal arts college. In particular, the short writing projects help prepare students for discussion of topics in class.

1. Students will be able to articulate what social reproduction is and how it works
2. Students will be able to analyze the role of major social institutions in the process of social reproduction

Goal Assessment(s):

1. Exams will allow assessment of student comprehension of concepts and theories related to social reproduction.
2. Ten short writing projects throughout the term will assess the ability of students to analyze social institutions and their role in social reproduction.
