  1. Students will learn that gender is socially constructed and is not static over time.
  2. Students will learn that gender is a social structure that pervades many of areas of life.

Goal Assessment(s):

  1. In the interview version, students write a paper comparing and contrasting their life experiences to those of others from different generations. In the reflection version, students write a paper demonstrating a deeper awareness of how gender operates.
  2. By answering the in-depth questions, students reflect on how their experiences in family, employment, and education, are gendered.
