In light of regional needs for a gerontology program, two faculty set out redesign the minor curriculum by incorporating a more interdisciplinary focus, by garnering faculty and administrative support, and through strategic student recruitment. This article outlines five lessons learned from the process of creating, implementing, and reflecting on a new gerontology curriculum.
